I didn't expect to finish this today, but it was a #migraine day and for some reason I decided to struggle through #knitting the last few rows and bind off. Had to take more out because I spaced out and did the wrong pattern than in the whole rest of the thing. Pfff. Steam blocked, but still some ends to weave in. Fun pattern, I hope it will be cosy.

It's coming along. I've been doing the K2tog as k1, slip back to left needle, pass the next st over, slip purlwise because this is more symmetric with my ssk (and not too much of a faff). They both leave a visible long arm which I like for adding texture to this pattern. #knitting

@yirggzmb@lasersare.fun Oh cool, looks great. If you knit, I've seen the herringbone stitch gives a similar texture and density by knitting into each stitch twice, and you won't need to join yarn as often.

Pretty happy with how this is turning out. I was worried the marl from the three strands held together would obscure the lace pattern, but I don't think it does overly much. #knitting

@CorneliusHecker@weirder.earth Author Polly Atkin, not on fedi but her book 'In the Company of Owls' weaves together some of the best nature writing I've read recently with the feeling of being abandoned in post "freedom day" 2021 UK. Also very partial to painter @ben@mastoart.social who makes beautiful textured abstract work and whose analysis of power is always spot on.
