@amackif@mastodon.social you can consume any other data source from within the async generator function imho. but I'm not sure if you can run query.live with adapter-cloudflare for example... not sure if that answers your question? :)

I played around with the new (experimental) `query.live()` remote functions in #sveltekit. Used #wienerlinien public transit depatures from their real-time endpoints –`query.live` is a really good fit for something like this (pulling the data every 15 seconds and updating the UI accordingly).
I feel the docs could be clearer on how the transport actually works. It's neither server-sent event, nor websockets – it's regular GETs with chunked responses!

While the kids (age ~9) I pick up from soccer usually talk about their favorite soccer players and teams, yesterday they could not stop discussing different types of nuclear bombs and how much of the earth would be destroyed if the americans (who make the biggest bombs) drop them (ranging from half the earth to one country). Not in a scared way, but more a rational, curious way.
I guess this is the world we now live in?
