@funkybuddha@mastodon.green i have never tried Umbrel but i will add it to my list. It's important to pick the right OS template when creating the VM. That impacts on the virtual devices that get used on your box. So if your OS Is not listed, you can always try with a similar one. It seems that Umbrel is Debian based, so I'd try selecting Debian when creating the VM.

@larma@mastodon.social this was proposed a few years ago and, if I remember correctly, Apple had some licensing restrictions which would require one to have Apple hardware to virtualize MacOS. I'm not sure if that's the case. Do you know? I know of people that have managed to run MacOS in the old-Boxes, so it is technically doable. I just don't know if it is legal.
