Fluid/Pansexual. Pronouns are whatever because I change genders more often than I change hats. I collect pronouns like they're achievements and I'm aiming for 100% completion.
Boost as you please, even if my poor inbox suffers.

One of my coworkers had jury duty a few weeks ago and I mentioned offhand that despite being well into my thirties, I've never had to do it.
Anyway, I got a summons today for jury duty in August. Next time I'll keep my mouth shut.
You will never guess what the real problem was. I'm still not sure I completely believe it.
It was the mouse.
My mouse, or more likely the little wireless USB dongle that it connects to, has been repeatedly crashing my whole computer since December.
I solved my problem a few hours ago by switching to a spare mouse but I'm still angry because this was so ridiculous. I was moments away from giving up entirely and buying a whole new computer and I would have had the same problem because I never would've suspected the mouse. If I'd gone through with that only to see the new computer start crashing too I think I would have actually screamed and thrown both PCs out my window.
I hate technology.
Found another old hard drive I'd forgotten about today. This keeps happening. The sheer number of old drives and USB sticks I've found stashed throughout my home is becoming absurd. To the point where I could swear I've found every stray byte of storage I have, only to pull an old box of keepsakes out of the closet and find yet another hard drive stuffed behind it, storing some old junk from college that wasn't worth keeping anyway.
I always pull out a drive when replacing it with a better one and say "I'll back it up and wipe it when I have a chance," and then it disappears into the void for the next 5-10 years.
I don't get it. I installed a new SSD. Installed Linux from scratch on the new SSD. Copied some files from the old, dying SSD to the new one but just documents and pictures and stuff. Basically started over.
The EXACT SAME btrfs errors I was getting before are happening again. It's not even the same brand of SSD. It's not even the same factory that made the silicon on my new SSD!
Is my computer haunted? Seriously, what the actual hell is going on here?! Drive randomly flips to read-only and then my whole system gradually dies, usually starting with the taskbar disappearing, then different windows, then Plasma dies all together, drops me to the tty, where I get to watch a couple btrfs errors pop up before the whole thing shuts down.
Boot it up again, the last several minutes are missing from the journal so I have no logs of whatever the hell just happened, and the computer's back to normal again.
It's possessed, I tell you.
Pretty sure my motherboard is failing. I've posted about fans and GPU issues and SSD issues and other stuff over the past several months but I think I've finally narrowed it down to a faulty motherboard, because otherwise literally everything else in my PC would be falling apart and it just doesn't make sense.
I am going to throw my computer into the fires of Mount Doom and sail off to the Undying Lands. I am so done with this crap.
Never let it be said that I have a good memory.
My right hand was hurting a bit today. I broke one of the bones in my hand 15 years ago and the pain was in about the same place. I was getting a little worried that I'd aggravated the old injury or something.
Four hours later, I remembered that the bone I broke was in my left hand.
Anyway I think I just strained the tendon a bit.
