So much money burnt there, buy people that obviously think they are above everything. Seems true for companies in the silicon valley as well.

Some think his remarks were smart others suggest Epstein lacked even fundamental understanding. I guess Minsky felt safe in what he was doing and - as it often goes with abuse - no one close to Minsky thought of him as a possible abuser. I guess being more doubtful is a lesson that can be learned.. which of course is hard since we cannot trust people anymore..

Recently documents where released that strongly suggest Minsky was guilty.

@BMDS Wichtig ist aber schon das aus Fehlern lernen?! Klar diese tief schwarz verurteilende Fehler-unkultur ist Mist. Aber immer den gleichen Mist wiederholen wäre auch reichlich dumm und methodisch schlecht. Dazu gehört auch ein offener Austausch über Fehler und Scheitern.

@JellyTBeagle It depends on the gadget: repairable, linux friendly, sustainable like n900 or steamdeck: hell yes. Techies have been cautious with devices that lock you in and make you consume instead of create 20 years ago as well (facebook, apple). there just is rarely good stuff coming up today

Danke für eure überwältigende Unterstützung, ich bin gut wieder in Bayern angekommen, nachdem auf einer Radtour in Polen schwer erkrankt war und Unterstützung für den Rücktransport gebraucht habe, um eine nahtlose Reha sicher stellen zu können.

@E@floss.social Hi there.. been using e since e16 used e17 alpha for years before it was finally released. Feels less stable now that it was in the e17 beta days, true. Hope it comes back.. maybe with another big rewrite (or/and some love)?
