I've been trying to develop a terminal-like portable computer that's able to survive desert heat, arctic freezing, and resist dust damage. All the while being cost effective to make on a DIY budget

It's been only a little while since I came back to the U.S. and I've been itching to get to the woods to start camping again this winter. When I mention this, someone inevitably mentions the "creepy" story

From my cursory read of the docs, it's possible to run an entire ISP, all the way from running BGP, ASN, routers, firewalls etc... to web and email hosting and even user mgmt. with just a default installation of #OpenBSD

Wouldn't recommend doing that for prod, but might be a fun exercise to see how much of the infrastructure we take for granted can be implemented out of the box on commodity hardware
