@ChristophBuck@mastodon.world An wen in den USA sollten diese Daten denn gehen? Linux ist ja nicht eine amerikanische Firma - im Gegensatz zu Microsoft. Darüber hinaus gibt es ja nicht *ein* Linux sondern einige verschiedene Distributionen, deren source code ist in der Regel öffentlich einsehbar, so dass, wenn jemand eine Backdoor einschleusen sollte, die Wahrscheinlichkeit groß ist, dass es auffliegt. 100% Sicherheit gibt es nie, aber man kann 100% sicher sein, dass bei Windows-Nutzung /2

Don't obviously know what the UK government is planning, but an ID per se is not a bad thing - depends on how you introduce it and what the safeguards are.
