@ziphi Ok, a few thoughts on this.
Firstly, when we are talking about criminal justice i almost universally agree with you. Punishment has not ever proven to be in any way a reliable deterrent or to reduce crime in any way, while reformation and education have proven highly effective.
There are however limits to this and while i am a generally very peaceful person, i am not a pacifist. Compassion will not stop an invading army and it certainly does not stop people who have already learned and understood that committing acts of violence in public will not have any consequences.
The reason these people are attacked and sometimes killed is because everyone is painfully aware they will never stop and cause a lot of harm to entire groups of the population.
In these cases, resistance is incredibly important.

@dgar I think the literal only thing i miss about vinyl is the cover art. I wish we could have that back, but i'd prefer to have a usb stick inside with a max quality recording.

@IanAMartin The current theory is that the border is indeed responsible for all of that, possibly in conjunction with the color rotation on the inside. I don't know why this happens, but it is indeed very interesting that it does.
