@davidgerard@circumstances.run it's incredible how this dude keeps boomerang'ing back into my view. I remember reading a few of his essays in the aughts and thinking some of them were okay, and then he made some obviously bad takes and disappeared for a decade, and then popped up again to yell about crypto future, and then disappeared for another decade, and here he is back again. It's so funny he's spending enough money out of pocket ($~3K) every month to hire a junior dev in the US he could mentor and grow into a senior, or probably a whole software team in less expensive countries. And he's doing it to make a ultima online clone? Anyway the way he is talking about his little virtual slaves is gross and what a clown. He finally got to do what he wants which is be a boss of a little fiefdom. Every section is its own little gift of bad ideas and privileged vision and delusion. Tl;DR I hope he finds his pepe silvia some day

there's a 650 dollar minas tirith set from lego out there that kinda looks like dog shit in several ways but there is a cool person on rebrickable that has a few mods that make it look much better but those mods cost an additional 200 dollars. i will never get this set or do the mods but i do enjoy after market lego tinkering from the cheap seats

@mk30@tilde.zone a) we're not in a drought b) i suspect something killed a lot of the chipmunks but can't verify that other than I haven't observed them much this year c) i put tree tubes around some of them and waited until alliums were going hard before planting out no idea which of these is actually paying the most, but I will continue to do the tree tube thing. I also did it with my sunflowers so I may actually get sunflowers this year, instead of feeding rabbits and squirrels microgreens

Actually I remembered later in the day that LEGO did a wild west theme and a lone ranger theme and the bricklink program is still allowing submissions of that sort so that's probably the most US thing and I can't believe they're still doing it.

Anyway it's also among the most racist!

Tho most racist theme is _probably_ Islanders because hoooooly shit.

there are many things I don't miss about twitter, but one of the things I do miss is i was part of a nascent group of art card exchange and since mostly didn't put return addresses on those i can't really do a return now. occasionally getting or receiving a crude (or very professional) drawing of a flower or bean was cool

@huskify @Kuniti_shino @0xabad1dea If you are on the latest version of 16 it should be okay for darksword, which is the exploit the 18x release is targeted at as darksword targeted vulnerabilities in versions 18.4 through 18.7. There are of course some other exploits that exist in 16 that are patched in latter versions, caruna being the most notable from recent times iirc
