#echoOfBrookside absolutely crushed it at a three-day #dogAgility event this weekend. out of her 15 runs, she qualified in 12! she earned her CSL-1 title, which means she's in level 2 or higher for all the games in this organization. this video is from a standard run, which is a numbered course we must follow in the allotted time in order to qualify.

i'm pet sitting teddy this weekend, and he *loves* scent work! this is something anybody can do with their dog (or cat!). i start with really simple hides, out in the open on the floor, but teddy's owners have been playing this game with him for awhile.

@Goodworkdog@sunny.garden eventual goal is some kind of dog training certification! i've been researching all the different options: IAABC, KPA, VSA, CPDT, PPG, etc.

OH!!! and i attend orientation to start volunteering at the local SPCA tomorrow morning.

just casually putting my dog training retirement plan into place. 😎

in boring human news, i've been reading up on #dogTraining and #dogBehavior. i finished "don't shoot the dog" last night, and before that read "the other end of the leash." just started "the culture clash" this morning! all three are foundational dog training books, and i already feel like i've learned a ton.

#lokiOfPineview got to play some CPE pitstop, which is an all-tunnels course. i don't have any photos or videos of that, but his favorite part was rolling around on the wet grass. 😃

in order to qualify for each round, he had to do the run in under 60 seconds. his first run was 59.94 seconds, and his second was 59.19 seconds. both earned him a whopping 7 points each, lol. love my old man.

#worldDogStar earned her CL-1 last weekend in CPE agility! this is her winning run, in which she ignores me about 50% of the time. 😂

we've also started #agilityLeague, which is where we do a new course every two weeks. she *barely* made it through the last one, and our second one is tomorrow.
