I see that @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu removed the link to Twitter / X on the "Follow us" section of their front page (although they still have that account): https://commission.europa.eu/index_en

@sosquqer a more balanced interpretation of the quote would be something like "Linux is becoming competitive at running games, we should take that threat seriously".

@sosquqer I don't know, but it sounds perfectly plausible given what MS themselves published a month ago: https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2026/03/20/our-commitment-to-windows-quality/

What a time to be alive: "For gaming, Microsoft views steamOS as the benchmark, and is working to optimize the platform so that steamOS and Windows gaming performance are comparable." So they're trying to make Windows beat Linux at running... Windows games. https://www.windowscentral.com/microsoft/windows-11/what-is-windows-k2-everything-you-need-to-know-saving-windows-11

First time I see an actual Sinclair C5, a British electric vehicle from the 80s that failed catastrophically. Only a few thousand units were sold.

@gloriouscow@oldbytes.space as someone who grew up with computers that had cassette tapes, the real thing was a pain in the ass 😊 I'm glad that we have emulation so the general public can actually try the software.

Debian stable (trixie) users can expect a backport soon via security updates (I'm testing it right now). Bookwork users are out of luck since upstream recently dropped support for libsoup2.

Browsing the web with Epiphany, @WebKitGTK@floss.social 2.52.x feels much faster and smoother compared to earlier versions.

If you give it a try make sure to try the latest one (2.52.2) as it fixes a crash that was relatively easy to reproduce (at least for me).

@Setok @FranckLeroy it's ingenuous and fascinating but for pretty much every real-world use case it's an anti-feature
