for a cross platform solution I use #musicassistant
still not answering directly to your original poll
but you can use DSP parametric filters for equalisation, verify a lot of parameters of music files and have full control of both local and streaming sources and players

avevo un hardware di almeno 10 anni, ho aggiunto un super case e una GPU (totale €100 di seconda mano) e ho riciclato un sistema surround 5.1 Creative Inspire in servizio da almeno 20 anni
certo non è un PC gaming da €2000 ma fa il suo dovere
ora sta convincendo tutti gli amici a passare a #bazzite
sono intervenuto solo per installare tlauncher che richiede java runtime
