Falls du dir Sorgen machst, meine Eltern haben mich zum Zug gebracht, und meine Großeltern haben mich wieder abgeholt, 3 IC-Stationen später. Mit 6 Jahren sind dann meine (8-jährige) Schwester und ich dann sogar mit Umstieg den ganzen Weg gefahren (ein Hoch auf die Bahnhofsmission)

@Techaltar@mas.to I got 3 xears of lenovo premium support for "free" with my laptop. I also had several good experiences with them (on-site). One time they couldn't fix something, and I had to send it in. Got it back after two weeks or so, fixed, no problem. Arguably the only problem with Lenovo: 4+ warranty cases within 3 years (and since then, in the past two years, everything fine*).

• touchpad broken
• random mainboard broken (cap or so died)
• display angle sensor broken (that one, I had to send in after 2 attempts on-site)
• USB port broken
• I think one more thing but I forgot what

• a few days ago my keyboard started not registering some keys. Enter being the most annoying.

@Papaexmatrikulatus @aerion I personally avoid flatpaks (snaps not as much) because of limited system access and therefore usability. The two main things I noticed:

• Missing subpixel anti-aliasing led to worse readability of text in e.g. LibreWolf
• Filesystem access: LibreWolf file downloads failed, KiCad could only open the files when directly opened from the file manager, FreeCAD could not save any files at all (fixed in newer versions though) Can I fix some of those issues with permission management? Maybe, but I tried for a few minutes and then realised one should just install the native version from whatever package manager one uses

@organicmaps@fosstodon.org I had to make my app for 12+ year olds, because I have a cartoon picture of a bomb in mine (similar to those in Mario Kart), without even an exploding animation or so (doesn't really matter because it's for a family board game and the parents or so can just install it but still)... Google wouldn't approve my wear OS app because the description only mentions "companion app for smartwatches" and not "Wear OS"... Now google refuses to accept a Wear OS update because I didn't upload screenshots (for the handful of people who actually would wanna use it on a watch - I just made it for watches to get some dev skills)... Google is really stupidly strict and they just refuse to cooperate often.
