I'm a renter and I just shovelled in front of my building bc I grew up in MA and I was not about to let the older guy who takes out the trash hurt himself trying. A neighbor getting takeout stopped and helped for half the job. I tried to walk to my garden but it was too slippery, so I just walked around the block ( I love the grid 🔳) and another neighbor and I spontaneously decided to shovel out a crosswalk ramp together. 🎉 In NYC they are paying people $30/hr to clear the snow. PAYING PEOPLE
if Boston had any heart as a city there'd be more than this weak "strongly worded letter" to keep a T station open so unhoused folks can stay warm in cold weather

watched several surprising films over the weekend, rented from the BPL, including Downsizing (Matt Damon?!), The Drowning Pool (Paul Newman), The Duke (Jim Broadbent, Helen Mirren), Cake (Jennifer Aniston) and the one I originally went in for Dark Water (Mark Ruffalo, Anne Hathaway). Ruffalo making Dark Water was such a good decision on his part and Rob Bilott, the lawyer he portrays is an absolute hero for pursuing the case against Dupont as far as he did.
