@atpfm@mastodon.social The eggplant emoji was in the Japanese carrier SoftBank and KDDI emoji sets when it was added by Unicode and Apple. In those two early renderings, it was skinny as it represented the variety of eggplant common in Japan. The “phallic” shape is therefore correct, much in the way that SWEET POTATO 🍠 should represent a Japanese variety and not the flavorless garnet yams common to American use. The originals: https://www.unicode.org/L2/L2010/10132-emojidata.pdf Genmoji sadly renders eggplants as Western aubergines.

If you ever get a product shipped to you by Amazon that is leaking, be aware that they will both tell you to dispose of it instead of bringing into a Whole Foods for return and then also will not fix their automated system that insists it be returned to the point where they charge you for the missing item and you have to engage Executive Customer Relations to try to fix things.

I want a token refund:

● Spec landed. Let me copy it to main status/, clean up the worktree, and queue stages 2-6.

● Bash(cp …worktrees/agent-a/spec.md …)
⎿  cp: cannot stat ‘…worktrees/agent-a/spec.md': No such file or directory
...
● The spec was lost with the auto-cleaned worktree — status/ is gitignored, so when the agent made no commits, its files vanished.

The incompetents at Microsoft are defaulting all of my email to spam, despite returning a 250 and despite my IPs never having been on a blocklist.

Their SNDS system only lets the ISP sign up and good luck getting Comcast Business or AT&T Business to let me manage my ranges properly myself.

@csilverman @halcyon @root42 This was the strategy used to get existing apps to work for the public demos of Copland DR0. Bug fixing the OS one broken API call at a time or having Gestalt lie to the app about what was available. “Edition Manager? What’s that?” I’ve forgotten the full list of apps I got working, but I remember specifically doing Photoshop and Marathon, the latter resulting in one of the worst KON & BAL’s Puzzle Pages ever published.

Zuck better have a really good explanation for why “pizza” doesn’t have any results on Threads when misspellings get corrected to the real results.

(“Pizza” apparently was the not-so-subtle way that Epstein and friends referred to victims, likely why Pizzagate came about because these ghouls are always confessing through bogus accusations.)
