the more I think about this, the more lore potential there is.
Because it can be a source for why the protag is "special" or gets some kind of advantage, sure
but also there would definitely be whole belief systems based around honoring/rejecting things "not of this world"
and you'd have people who insist on forgoing the optimization just in case / due to their religion / etc. who get proven right
Concept: Magic system that's like programming with runes/ancient writings/what have you -
- and one of the well-known optimizations is when designating generic targets, specifying "{X} of this world" consumes immensely less mana
This insinuates that things not of this world exist, but to-date none have been found. So this optimization is used everywhere and has never been a problem
Until one day someone wanders through the castle's barriers, seemingly lost...

@renkotsuban Lift him from under the blanket and imagine it's his own personal palanquin? Thats what I do for two of ours, anyways
(for the third, I flip him onto his back and cradle-lift him like a baby cause he's a goblin who deserves to be bothered sometimes)

@movim@piaille.fr All of the above, unfortunately— three separate servers I'm in have all of those options as strict requirements to move anywhere n_n'
(not helpful for picking one focus. between the three servers, Spaces/channel groups would be highest priority. Very heavily utilized)
