@pekkatahkola@mas.to In Spain at least it use to be that with every building you had to do the sidewalks, pipe canalization, etc. around it, making most of the infrastructure used by pedestrian paid by those who buy a house. There are areas urbanized by cities before hand, but during building constructions a lot of sidewalks needs to be redo.

@fanta@mastodon.green La regulación del tráfico cuando había 100 coches en España era mínima, ahora exigimos pasar varias pruebas para poder conducir un vehículo porque sabemos y se ha convertido en algo más peligroso. Cuando en los 90 yo usaba el IRC para conocer gente no sabíamos hasta que punto las empresas iban a aprovechar los intrincados procesos cerebrales para sacar de nosotros el máximo beneficio posible. La gente debe informarse y estar preparada para usar estas herramientas, por su propio bien.

@fanta@mastodon.green Así que creo que cierta regulación es necesaria sobre todo en los negocios, puesto que los negocios no tienen como fin educar o mejorar la vida de la gente si no hacer dinero dentro de los limites de la ley (y a veces fuera si es beneficioso económicamente). Así que según vamos descubriendo peligros es necesario poner salvaguardas a las empresas para que no generan problemas en aquellos que no tienen los recursos para conocer los peligros de lo que te venden.

Me parece que en general dejar libertad a los padres y los niños es importante, pero para ejercer esa libertad es necesario conocer las ventajas y peligros de las herramientas. Y no todas las personas con otros a su cargo tienen el tiempo para conocer los peligros y ventajas de usar todas las herramientas nuevas que surgen rápidamente en estos tiempos.
