@bert_hubert@mastodon.nl ik gooi de metafoor die ik laatst las er maar weer eens in: asbest had na de uitvinding ervan geweldige toepassingsmogelijkheden. Makkelijk zagen! Betere isolatie! Gemak! Na een jaar of tien, twintig begonnen de nadelen van productie en gebruik zichtbaar te worden. Het duurde vervolgens meer dan 50 jaar voor we het verboden en overal verwijderd hadden. Ten koste van talloze doden.

I now use a password protected local Excel file because I believe Excel will be available during my lifetime (71 yo)
