@ole@chaos.social The current laws really need to be updated for these GenAI systems, so consensus is reached about how to handle situations like this. With laws that explicitly place guidelines on the development of these models, ethics would be easier for both the systems' creators and users.

@cschum@mastodon.social @webmink@meshed.cloud Thanks for sharing this! I've heard people scared of using OSS projects because they sometimes become "dead projects" (abandonware). This reminder that a high diversity and number of contributors/maintainers is an antidote to abandonware, and that volunteers aren't the problem, is definitely welcome.
