The hope with memory prices is maybe they start optimizing WebKit, Chromium and Electron.

If updatectl update fails. Try running first: run0 /usr/lib/systemd/systemd-sysupdate vacuum. Then retry updatectl update.
If you are having more issues updating, come to the Matrix channel, open an issue or reply here.

After updating to systemd 260 on #gnomeos, we had a few hiccups with GNOME Software and sysupdate. The main issue being the system getting stuck to a version and never telling the user there is a newer version available. If you are using GNOME OS, you should check if the version is at least "nightly.1034493" (Settings -> System -> About -> Operating System Build). If it is older and Software does not find a newer version, open a console and run `updatectl update`.

GNOME OS's systemd-repart built DVD booting under 10 minutes on real hardware. Soon available in systemd 261! https://youtu.be/AWBVCl0RatU #dvd #asmr #gnomeos #systemd #retrocomputing #uefi #speedrun

#GNOMEOS finally has a system extension with h.264/h.265 codecs and drivers (the same as Flatpak's GL.default extra and codecs-extra extensions combined) This will make them available to non-Flatpak applications, like GNOME Shell which needs it for efficient screen recording. It also finally fixes missing thumbnails in Nautilus. This was a feature requested by many of our users. `updatectl enable --now codecs-extra`

#gnomeos has switched to systemd-confext to handle /etc. The migration is automatic so you should not notice anything. But if you encounter issues booting or logging in, just ask on the Matrix channel. Or ask me.
