@mahryekuh@hachyderm.io @nf3xn@mastodon.social I'm no fan of the Police but they can only work with the laws they are told to uphold, Politicians need to step up here and take action (in my opinion) but I have no faith in them to do it. However if it was them getting recorded with these devices we wouldn't hear the end of it, so why should ordinary citizens accept these things as being part of every day society.

@dropbear@aus.social I felt genuine anger and shame for reading the article, the fact the man who recorded the video said he invested time and money into making the video is not an excuse. The victim of the video did not ask to be plastered on the internet for all the world to see. If some one recorded me or my wife and kids without my permission, the glasses wouldn't be long in getting smashed along with anything else the person has to store the videos on.
