@nixCraft@mastodon.social To be honest, I don't know what to make of these numbers. I've been a Linux user since Mandrake and Slackware had some impact before that, when a stack of floppies was the installation source.
Part of me worries that these are bots running on a Linux system with a smarter method of agent identifiers.
Part of me wonders if this is a backlash against Microsoft constantly advertising on Windows 11, among other annoyances.
Maybe it's Steam deck and Steam Machines changing the landscape of desktop systems.
I'd love to really know what is driving this. It looks real enough and correlates against increases in other stats, such as the Steam survey.
