@Profpatsch@mastodon.xyz @luis_in_brief@social.coop the mirrors also largely exclude all the process behind what the audience sees. And that process is probably more important to mirror than the raw ‘ready’ latest version of ‘some’ of the content.

Hank Green giving some amazing considerate, calm almost meditative overview of and background about the photography of earth and moon by the Artemis II mission.

I wish this was the standard for content about this mission. Great to get down to what actually matters instead of the space race and USA rhetoric of it.

@vampirdaddy @mojo im more concerned by all the banks moving their 2fa into iOS and Android app. That’s gonna be way harder to fix. Also i dont like the consumer facing centralization that wero does. I liked iDEALs distributed model over the banks, but it was a big strain on banks and merchants. I guess to be a competitor to visa/mastercard/paypal, this had to be streamlined.

@vampirdaddy @mojo well.. thats a bit due to payconiq in the past focusing so much on QR codes to start transactions via an app and being the single (visible) issuer for consumers. But iDEAL was web first (I ran the initial Rabobank experiment to make it App compatible). Web first can easily be provided, the iDEAL proxy is actually an example of that you could say.

Lol, my first ICE is already 32 mins delayed. Gonna take a shortcut to arnhem and get on there instead I think, so that i can just take the planned time with seat reservation instead of having to muck about with delays down the line

I added back the Share and Embed options to the wikimedia videoplayer.

They show up when the video ends or when you pause. It uses the native browser Share interface, making it more maintainable.

These options had been dropped when we rewrote it years ago. This new version was the result of two hackathons over the last two years.

@luis_in_brief @not2b @mattblaze specifically, on my first two trips as a student, I might not have visited Yosemite and sequoia respectively. And I wouldn’t have visited Everglades (conference I attended with scholarship). I would have still done the big trip I did with my parents, and have visited a few smaller parks with a single (non-annual) park ticket that aren’t in the 100 bucks surcharge bucket for the conferences that were in less touristy areas

@luis_in_brief @not2b @mattblaze a night in Vegas with resort fees is 250+ usd. I mean… the tourist trips will keep coming. But as a single traveller who sometimes visited for work or conferences, I’m not doing a day visit to a single park any longer when I’m in the USA with those prices. You either have to visit three+ parks, or none (well for the big ones at least).
