I have until Monday August 03 to meet this goal or cancel my flight to Las Vegas. Apart from the fact that it would just be really unpleasant to have to cancel this trip for a second year in a row, and that I would rather like the chance to get to know folks in the field I've been trying to get into for years now, I have made a commitment to the Ham Radio Village and I do not want to have to break it.
If by some miracle I do get my badge covered, this is going to become a food/bills fund, because our only income right now is me selling my blood plasma for a hundred bucks a week and even with SNAP that's not a lot for a family of three at the best of times.
