A lot of feelings this morning about the accessibility of gender affirming surgeries. Like, I'm doing pretty OK, I have a STEM career I'm a decade and a half into, I was able to swing a house back before rates went ridiculous. Not bragging, just perspective.

... GAS is out of reach for me.

Availability for everything other than top and bottom surgery is already spotty at best, but even those two...

It's done!!! Sarah Gray at Pewaukee Tattoo Parlour did it for me and just... known her for years, she's done most of my wife's work along with some other family... and she's gender non-conforming queer and gets it. I *knew* that I wanted to try to have her do my first.

Blown away.

A thing that I'm realizing lately is that I really only have two ways of coping with things - working the problem by breaking it down to its components until there's a part of it that I can work on and doing that, beating my head against it until something yields... or just burying it and forcing myself to not think or feel about it.

The second isn't ideal, and the first has its limits. But I don't know how to just accept things without fighting them.
