Fun fact, the 1980s rascist slur “Daygo” in reference to Italian is a corruption of Diego, whom is more commonly a Spanish name.
The rascists were not only cunts, but they were ignorant cunts too!

Our dog is addicted to Puppicinos, however I am sure she is more interested in the accompanying dog biscuit(s).

We have a different problem.
Our accounts department insist that all refunds are auditable.
If someone pays CASH and they return same day, we can just give them their CASH back.
If someone pays using our credit card processor on our computers, that can also be reversed directly.
If they pay using the EFT machine, Direct Deposit or they bring the part back after the CASH has been processed, the only way we can refund is by direct deposit.
They need to provide a copy of their Bank Statement header with Name, Address, BSB and Account and the Name and Address need to match the Invoice.

A computer is designed to count.
That is its primary purpose.
Everything else is a variation on counting.
If you somehow add so much garbage on top of a computer that it is unable to count, you have successfully broken it.

The whole reason why they are 3495kg is so they can squeak under the 3500kg limit on a standard drivers licence.
That said, there are also people in Super Wankpanzers like the F350s who do have heavy vehicle licences who still drive/park like cockheads.
Unfortunately, because they are classed as a Light Truck, the actually get Tax Breaks!

@davidzipper @timrichards Car dependency in two different forms;
-
commuters will be dependant on cars to drive to where they need to be.
-
people won’t know how to drive themselves. We are already seeing this with the number of people who can’t drive manual transmissions; not due to a disability, but due to wilful ignorance.

Someone who pretends to be an Ally because it is socially expected still behaves as an Ally.
Someone who is sympathetic when it is not socially acceptable may not be as allied as they would be otherwise.
People are fickle.

Early digital was garbage.
It steadily improved over the course of 10 years to become an overnight success.
Kodak, Hanimex, Polaroid, etc could have pivoted, but rested on their laurels.
Nowadays, they are footnotes in history and trusted brand names plastered on cheap, overpriced digital cameras by trademark shell companies.

I can’t remember which magazine Stanley Howler authors and if I get it wrong, I’m sure he will have one of his moments.
See a Pin and pick it up, and all day long you’ll have a Pin.

There are still plenty of Y2K denialists who believe that all the effort expended to prevent digital Armageddon in 1/1/2000 was pointless.
A lot of the people who benefit from compromised security, are promoting this narrative.

At my old workplace, the Parts Catalogue didn’t work through the firewall.
We had a special network that bypassed the corporate network.
The technicians new diagnostics tool also needed a direct connection. They decided to piggy-back on the Parts network.
There were lots of disappointed techs when I blocked BitTorrent and Pandora.

Other industries are trying to replace skilled information workers with bots too.
I’m an automotive parts interpreter that specialises in crash repairs, the amount of BS generated estimates that come across my desk that are completely wrong is astonishing!
And when you provide the correct estimate to the repairer, they are in denial. “The computer said I need these parts, *you* must be wrong”.
Then they call back a week later for me to order and supply the correct parts.
We also refuse credit returns on parts orders that haven’t been vetted by us.

@dwcon I can’t remember their names, but I can remember their most distinctive character, but I won’t spoil it for the person who knows both.
I do remember that they don’t like people who believe in “The Healing Powers of Crystals”. In a world where belief creates Gods, Boagiemen, Eaters of Socks and and other magic, the lack of Healing Crystals is a bit of a puzzler…
Or maybe they don’t like Witches and Headology…

YouTube is pretty much my go-to streaming video source. Peertube does have content I’m interested in but Yourube has more of it.
I do pay for Premium, but I also fight ThE aLgOrYtHm constantly.

@eff@mastodon.social Technology is also being used by ICE against citizens.
Be careful where technology comes from . They could be playing both sides.
A database of people who want to avoid ICE would be invaluable to this terrorist organisation.

I wish I could install this but my IT department probably won’t let me.
Maybe I can get them to install it on all company computers…

This is why my next daily-driver phone will be a Linux Phone.
I will keep my trusty iPhone Mini so I can access banking, 2FA, government services and Apple Music, but it will have everything else taken off it.
