Is there any way to get a notification when a new book from an author/series is released? Storygraph doesn't have this feature. Goodreads allegedly has this feature, but it does not actually work. Goodreads does send a notif if a book on your To Read shelf is released, but it's not very helpful. How am I supposed to put it on my to read shelf if I don't know about it yet lol

Tiling the background was kinda annoying. The flowers alternate direction each row (DL DR UR UL -> DR DL UL UR). I couldn't be bothered, so I did it wrong. You can't really tell.

What if your memories were erased after the vote? Wouldn't that be crazy? You'll have people arguing that everyone totally pressed blue to save everyone because it's the right thing to do. You'll have people insisting that everyone definitely pressed red. No one will have any idea what actually happened, but it will generate a lot of arguments (just like in real life, actually)

The button hypothetical is actually a social media based Zero Escape dialogue generator. You can just imagine it. Sigma wants to press the blue button, because it saves everyone! But Phi explains that the blue button actually puts you at risk, and pressing the red button is smarter. And then there's thousands of words spent reframing the hypothetical in increasingly convoluted ways. (Like half the reframings people make end up devolving into Tenmyouji's Infinite Biker Highway, anyway)

$ flatpak run --env=GDK_BACKEND=x11 org.mozilla.Thunderbird [2] Sandbox: CanCreateUserNamespace() clone() failure: EPERM Error: we don't have any display, WAYLAND_DISPLAY='wayland-0' DISPLAY='(null)' Hm, I don't think DISPLAY should be (null). I guess this is an issue with the thunderbird/the flatpak?

None of the characters in Master Detective Archives case 1 had names. Except the defendant, who doesn't actually appear. Weird.

Does anyone know if it's still possible to force Thunderbird to run with xwayland? I used to do it by revoking the wayland socket permission from the flatpak, but that's not working anymore. Birdtray doesn't work if Thunderbird is running on wayland.

I decided to move my Social Media PWAs to a separate web browser on my phone so that I can set a timer for them without affecting my actual browser. (I have a Wake Up mode on my phone that restricts a bunch of apps, to discourage me from checking social media first thing after I wake up. It's very annoying because I can't block social media without blocking my entire browser!) I figured I'd use Samsung Internet because it's there and, well, what else am I going to use it for? Did you know if you install a PWA with Samsung Internet it generates and installs an APK for the site? This makes installed PWAs appear as apps, regardless of whether your launcher supports treating PWAs as apps! It'd be perfect, except the Bluesky PWA is broken and doesn't appear on Samsung Internet. It appears on Chrome/Vivaldi, but not Samsung. So I installed bsky with Chrome bc, again, it's already there and I'm not going to use it for anything else. Did you know Chrome also supports generating APKs for PWAs!? I've been looking for this feature for a very long time, and Chrome just has it! It's not very well advertised. (I wonder if Google even realizes this is a feature. I wonder if this will break if/when Google pushes their "wait 24 hours to sideload apps" thing. Maybe they'll carve out an exception for themselves...) Bit of a nitpick, the installed PWAs aren't actually tracked separately in Digital Wellbeing. Their time just contributes to Chrome/Samsung Internet. Which is fine for my purposes (I just want to set a timer for my Social browser(s) but not my regular browser), but it'd be nice it they were tracked separately. Also, the Samsung Internet ad blocker is noticeably worse than the Vivaldi one :/

At least this one appears to be advertising syncing folders. That makes more sense. (But still weird, considering I've been a dropbox user for over a decade so I obviously already know I can sync folders)
