[EDIT] Have fixed the text on the third image. Has happened to me a couple of times using Fedilab that the first image text overwrites a later one. Annoying...!

@davidbisset@phpc.social Reminds me of a conversation I had with the makers of the Vivaldi Browser. They allow Markdown formatting in the browsers' Notes facility. I asked if they could pop a wee guide or cheat-sheet in there to get people started, like a lot of text-input-heavy programs do.

"Oh, it's not up to us to describe Markdown."
"Not even the form of Markdown you've chosen to implement?"
"..."

If you aren't going to cater to users don't expect users to use what you're giving them.

I've always loved Rodimus Prime and the Commander class release is a spectacular version of him. I couldn't justify spending the eye-watering price tag on him at retail but getting him for half price second-hand (minus blast effects and Matrix) absolutely works for me. Robot mode is *STUNNING*. Like Galvatron it feels weighty in hand too, despite being smaller.

I love that they gave him a sword. When did he ever use a sword? Marvel UK, in Galvy's nightmare. ☺️

Todays #Deskbot is again pushing at the boundaries of robotic content on this channel; it changes form (this one even stores in cube shapes) but is less autonomous, given it does not function without those *filthy* carbon-based lifeforms in the respective lion cockpits.

As a kid my bros and I had the original, vintage toys despite never having seen the anime: robotic combining cats are just *cool*.

Sorry, no cat modes as I've not yet learned how to safely disassemble it. 😋

Today's #deskbot surely breaks some kind of rule by steadfastly refusing to change form (he even bit me when I pressed the issue) but is still a robotic terror feared by all, even his Renegade handlers! The mighty and fearsome #Zod!

Having bought all those nifty Machine Robo concepts for their #Gobots line, Tonka couldn't resist throwing some of their own work into the line and Zod is a fine example. He shouldn't work, being kinda goofy, but as a toy he has a chunky solidity that works wonders.

"White Line Nightmare" apparently originates from dialogue/narration in Mad Max 2, an apt homage for this issues' rolling vehicular combat. Artist Andrew Wildman has made this more explicit by using thick white speed lines on his two subjects, Autobot Fizzle and Not-Dreadnok.

I forgot the Firecons were in this as well; I love those dorky little monsters! Future Deskbots? YOU BETCHA.

Joe's Dreadnoks as they pit their mettle against the Sparkler-Minibots (US: "Sparkabots") and TriggerBots. While lurking in the ludicrously disguised wings are Scorponok and the Decepticon Junior Headmasters...

@hilljam@mastodon.social Thinking about this...isn't a partial reason for that non-response down to sheer volume of responses they receive? Think about how much time it would take you to simply acknowledge, say, 300 responses individually. You'd be hard-pressed to do that once, let alone continue that across a month's worth of posting. Having actual conversations....you'd run out of time very quickly. Small wonder celebrities hire people to do that for them.
