@BigHeadMode@social.linux.pizza ah ok. It's been registered long enough to buy alcohol (well maybe not in the US 🤭). Firmware is 3.4.2. I haven't seen mentions of unhackable versions for the 3g, but maybe I missed something? Oh well. 🤷‍♂️

@freakonometrics the main point is an obvious truth to me but the data throws me off. What on earth is "legislated paid parental leave" that reaches nearly 200 weeks (4 years) in the Slovak republic and between 50 and 100 weeks in France ? Is this a typo where weeks should be days? If so the data is very wrong , as in 2024 Spain was giving 16 weeks to both father and mother. Fathers have received much longer leave in Spain than in France (and most western EU countries) for several years now.

@olivetree fair! Das Thema Zugriff auf Data ist natürlich mit Verschlüsselung kein Problem, aber politisch macht das Sinn. Falls du was gutes und eu-made findest, sag Bescheid! Ich habe ein grosses lock-in wegen meinem anderen, 4tb Backup durch backblaze Backup (keine buckets sondern flat price um bei einer Maschine einen kompletten Backup zu machen, leider nicht mit Linux kompatibel). Umziehen würde Monate dauern und viel kosten. Aber man weiss ja nie...

@olivetree Ich benutze dazu backblaze, wegen der relativ niedrigen Preisen, und guter Reputation. Mein Backup ist aber nur 100gb gross. Durch fuse kann es mountiert werden, obwohl die Navigation durch die folder etwas langsam ist. Diese Methode benutze ich nur, um durch Scripts kleine Dateien in Realtime zu kopieren. Inkrementelles Kopieren des großen Backups wird eigentlich durch rclone gehandelt, und das ist schnell und effizient.

Just silly thoughts, the post was spot on. I'm always annoyed that China is a bit too concentration-camp-friendly itself, I'd love to see china become more democratic and human in my lifetime, I'd then be proud to support a shift in global power, it would then make a lot of sense.

@saraislet@infosec.exchange I'd argue that absolute productivity isnt measurable, but relative productivity can be under the right circumstances. A stable product team operating with mature kanban processes should be able to experiment with genai and measure a statistically significant change on their throughput - if there is such a change indeed. But that means the introduction of genai and the measurement come from within, not from above.
