As part of the #analytica conference, the topic of Research Data Management (RDM) was once again in the spotlight.

In the session “Use Cases in Data Science,” our speaker Konrad Förstner introduced the #NFDI framework. Using #nfdi4microbiota as an example, he demonstrated that effective #rdm is the backbone of modern, data-driven science.

#nfcore and #VirJenDB plan a hybrid #hackathon on 17 May as a satellite event of #ViBioM2026 toward #opensource #virus #bioinformatics workflows.

Proposed projects
- expand VirJenDB visualizations with an atlas
- work on an existing nf-core virus workflow
- port your tool to bioconda and other #Nextflow prep
