@heiseonline@social.heise.de Momentan wird massiv versucht, Nutzer von Open source und freier Software zu schikanieren, sei es Google mit irgentwelchen propritären Captchas, Anbieter von Apps, die auf custom ROMs herumzicken oder die Politik mit diversen Verifikationspflichten. Es wird echt nicht besser.

Its unbelievable how f*cking unusable the language server clangd is.

Sometimes it crashes after using it one hour, sometimes it crashes instantly and sometimes it crashes so much that I cannot think clearly anymore because of headaches. Now I can restart my computer for a sixth time today.

#FractalSlop is out of control

Searching the internet for images about fractals results in a lot 'AI' generated imagery. Why create perfect deterministic mathematical renderings of fractals, if you can use an 'AI' image generator to create weird AI slop, containing non-perfect 'fractals' and waste orders of magnitude more energy ??

The dielectric material finally works. After creating a 2D-raymarching variant for debugging reasons, I finally see the rays refracting. The 3D variant looks now identical to the image contained in the Raytracing in one weekend book.

@kuketzblog Gestern erst. Nachdem er mir (wir kennen uns) danach erklären wollte, warum das doch eigentlich sooo toll ist, sagte ich ihm, dass ich von dem Apponly-Zirkus nichts halte. Es gibt nämlich nur 1en Grund, soetwas nicht auch als Web-interface oder halt mit echten Coupons zu machen - datensammelei. Daraufhin sagte er, man müsse die Zukunft akzeptieren.
