Decades ago, I complained to Dad, who then worked for IRS, of tax form complexity, which looked to me like code through which armies had marched for years. He said: IRS does what it can, but neverending chase of changing tax laws, write your Rep. @mekkaokereke You’re serious thinker, you must care about actual facts. Have you yet studied Jane Mayer’s works I linked? As per Jane: Little of Tweeden’s story stood up, wasn’t mad at Franken, she sought him in VIP room of 2009 USO event, 2500 miles from home. Gettyimages showed her laughing w/Franken, photos posted on Twitter 1st day, as were other issues. I’ll post later. (She also lied about 2009 in TV interviews that day, inconsistently.)

@mekkaokereke @MisuseCase @dnkboston Good questions in general (I'm ~50-year N.O.W. member who marched for ERA in 1978, donated to help Chrstine Blasey Ford, who worked a mile from here, etc)...BUT(great journalist) Jane Mayer spent 5+ monthsseeking *FACTS* on this (& other 7 cases), including exactly how that stupid photo happened (replay of their (raunchy) USO skit.) PLEASE study Jane's work, then worth discussing more, incl other photos.

She interviewed several & talked in general terms about the others, since most refused to talk ... & because there was also detailed analysis of the other cases that she studied, & great journalists don't bother to merely repeat such. Reporters *totally* failed to do due diligence in W5H, far below the excellent investigations of Weinstein (by NYT & NYer) or Charlie Rose (WaPo). Many readers were unable to assess credibility. *Study* Mayer's work.

@screwlisp @dougmerritt @vnikolov @kentpitman @khinsen @holdenweb Sorry, I don't think I can help you on that. The last time I even looked at LISP code was in early 1970s. Pipes were simple enough we taught them to typing pool people in the mid-1970s. About the same time, Steve Bourne & I talked some about shell pipe networks more general than linear, but didn't seem to be good notation, there were deadlock possibilities, and in the rare cases they made sense could be done in C anyway.
