@alineblankertz Some of the first words of Magyar were to reassure the LGBT community that the evil persecution ends now, all people are equal. That is a brilliant start (and far from the so-called Christian-right). Child protection is also a repeated priority area (not the fake efforts made by right-wingers some of whom are implicated in abuse themselves).

@oddhack @aronkvh @neverpanic @Techaltar The term ethnic Hungarians usually refers to the Hungarian population who were in the 2/3 of the area of Hungary given to other countries at the end of WW1 by the treaty made mainly by the French & British victors. In those areas, schools & churches all spoke Hungarian for many decades after the division. Orban gave votes to all these ethnic Hungarians (who had never lived in the current land of Hungary).

@alienghic @Techaltar You ask what countered the disinformation in Hungary - well just about every educated person I know ignored the blatant propaganda of the free TV & radio stations and newspapers (all bought by right-wingers). The very rich like the right, the very poor don’t understand foreign languages or have internet; but the majority came to hate the corrupt putin/trump supported regime.
