Had a bit of a freak-out yesterday evening about the boobs I'm getting, and whether it's done kind of terrible mistake. I love teaching, and I really don't want to get pushed out, and my stupid brain was shouting that having really big boobs would make my students completely disrespect me.
Anyway, my friends fought to help me, mostly unsuccessfully, until one, who has bigger boobs than I'll ever get, said:
"But I do know that the whole point of all of this is to be unapologetically you and if you don’t do that, then… that’s kind of a bummer."
And just the simple banality of that, the no-stakes, "that'd kinda suck" statement is what it took for me to feel better about it all.
Life's weird. 46 days till I have mega-boobies.
