Final Troll Run. I took today off work to stretch the long weekend and possibly go to Seattle for WC watching which means I had time to drive 45 minutes to run. Started at the trailhead for Zoe & the Swamp Monster and worked my way around to Rainier Trail to Jakob Two Trees, I stretched it out to an 8 mile run. #running
Only got woken up a few times from fireworks, I’d call that a win. I do have questions for the person blowing stuff up at 5am: was this an all night affair or did you get up and start exploding things?
Meanwhile the Seattle Reddit reads like a police blotter, multiple parks left in shambles from revelers. Some jackases decided to start a bonfire of Lime scooters on a turf soccer field, so that park will be out of commission for a while.
Called an audible and headed to Ballard for this morning’s run so I could visit Freddie Feetsplinter. 8 miles mostly along Burke Gilman, I’ll have to do this again so I can have brunch at the breakfast at the place I used for parking. #running

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters S2 was pretty good. They took the complaints from S1 (not enough monsters, the 50s characters were better) and answered them as best they could, mostly with lots of kajiu fights throughout the season. Amber Midthunder was criminally underutilized, hopefully S3 the writers will give her more to work with. #television #scifi

Picked up a pair of Bose QuietComfort headphones open-box from Best Buy for $160. Pricey for headphones but I wear them a lot so I want something comfy. Sound is amazing and noise canceling is on point, I can ignore everyone in the office

Normally I’d let my new boss chase the shiny-object bullshit our government relations guy throws around like confetti but I don’t want to spend 12 hours going to & from Yakima on a Friday. I think I need to take this one for the team so she can see firsthand why we disregard 90% of the stuff he throws out.
#running tip: When I first started running I read that fabric softener interferes with the moisture wicking properties of clothing so I started hanging my running clothes to dry.
I think this also extends the service life of my running clothes; this is supported by the fact I’m currently wearing a shirt from a running store in Connecticut that I have not visited in at least 13 years.
Half marathon was a success!! Maintained a steady pace throughout the race. I thought I was going to fast and worried about dying late but the legs held strong. Afterwards I got something from the Himalayan food truck; I’m not entirely certain what Momocha is but it was delicious (especially the sauce he used). Overall a good morning #running

@BlackAzizAnansi I’m about 25% through “King Sorrow” by Joe Hill and it’s solid so far. Reminiscent of his dad’s stuff in the 80s without being a copy but he does drop in a few references. This thing is about the size of the unabridged “The Stand” so be prepared

Naguse looked like a pacer out there, was leading the race until 2 laps to go and then turned it off and dropped back into the crowd. He wasn’t a factor in the front but he did box Cole Hocker out from making a move. I’m not saying it was intentional, but if it was intentional it’d look just like this #running
Sounds like chaos at the USATF Half Marathon Championship. The lead bike took the top 3 women off course at the 11 mile mark, by the time they got sorted the woman who was well ahead ended up in 9th. To make matters worse this race was the selection race for Team USA Half Marathon World Championships later this year. #running

I don’t like it and here’s why: Serenity (movie) ended wrong. Mal should have died after getting the transmission out, River should have been caught by that army they sent, and Jane & Zoe should have been the only ones to escape; everyone else dies.
Zoe should have fallen into an alcoholic stupor supporting Jane in progressively stupid free lance jobs while the Alliance falls apart after the revelations about Miranda. #television #scifi
