@ifixcoinops@mstdn.social I do that all the time, even if that person's interests are wildly different than mine. That's how we can rebuild our Twitter communities.

@thierolfOrg@odenwald.social @jerry@infosec.exchange I see something similar eventually emerging here in the U.S. -- an official server for federal government agencies, run and paid for by the feds. Individual states, or groups of states, could also set up their own servers. We're still in early days here. That's one of the things that's so exciting to me. It feels like the early days of the WWW.

@richieholland@ravenation.club Mastodon isn't a replacement for Twitter anymore than Instagram is. It's an alternative to Twitter, and that's valuable in and of itself.
