Living in northern Minnesota, drinking fountain and water fountain get used interchangeably. And I’ve only known one person that used bubbler regularly. But they weren’t in their right mind most of the time.
And ain’t nothing IDs a Minnesotan faster than hot dish vs casserole or even worse, Duck Duck Grey Duck vs Duck Duck Grey Goose. We WILL go to war over that stuff.

Yes, people suffer and die in armed revolutions. But there are very few “peaceful” revolutions that have been successful in history. Even Ghandi needed to benefit from armed revolutionaries fighting the British in the background to be the more reasonable choice. MLK needed the Black Panthers openly carrying firearms to advance black rights.
Until the populace is willing to die, nothing changes in a dictaorship. Sadly, the tree of liberty sometimes needs to be refreshed with the blood of patriots.

I would argue the flavor profile of balsamic vinegar in this use. Instead I would go with a red wine vinegar. A bit sharper on the tongue.
But, that’s the cool thing about soup. There are few rules and you can do whatever pleases your palete.

A little potato makes for a pretty good thickener in a soup.

A lot actually. A good home made soup can bring not only great flavors, but textures and even comfort on a bad day. And they can be an inexpensive one pot meal that’s fast and easy to make.
And the potato soup I made for supper yesterday, evidently contains anti-depresseants.

There would be some few more, but it would probably be very doubtful of a lot more. People don’t care.

I spent all my childhood life growing up on a dairy farm. Worked from home, got to do various types of exciting manual labor and operate somewhat dangerous machinery, AND I got to work outside no matter the weather.
So suck on that California. You ain’t that special.

I can use Vim, it was the choice for years. But I actually like using nano because it’s what I need and all I need.

I got an old Nitro 5 with a rickity old 500gig hard drive. Will a Crucial BX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5-Inch Internal SSD be a good Christmas present for it?

Shouldn’t be hard for anyone from Europe. The EU already wants to monitor all the social media anyway. Plus age restrictions. The Aussie’s aren’t far behind either. And they have age restrictions now.

It’s a calculated risk. But I think they will be just fine when they turn back to their base consumers. And the consumers will welcome them back. Happens all the time. nVidia and crypto Hoe’s are the latest example.

Even along with public support, revolutions need their violent wing. MLK wouldn’t have been as nearly successful without the Black Panthers visibly totin’ guns on the 5 O’Clock news. It made MLK look very reasonable to deal with.
Gandhi, the modern Icon of peaceful protest winning the day, had armed rebellions popping up behind him. The Indian’s had nearly a 100 year history of violence against the British. And an exhausted Great Britain just wanting to get out of the colonial business didn’t hurt either.
When facing despots and fascists, there needs to be people willing to kill and die for the cause of freedom. We have not reached that point yet.

So their not shutting down, just focusing on AI idiots until the bubble busts and then they will turn back to consumers…
Rules of Acquisition #1,261-- Always fuck over the idiots in the market. And when you’ve taken all their money, go back to your base with inflated prices.

Lemmy is majority socialist and not communist. So as most liberals are, they are destined to hate on each other because neither side can pass the ‘purity tests’ each side cooks up.
Y’all deserve each other most of the time.
