I am not sure if this a unpopular opinion but videos and podcasts are very inefficient way to do research.
Written text lets me skim and gather relevant info quickly but a majority of videos and podcasts have so much fluff.
For entertainment, they are great and some are good to stimulate free thinking but not for research.
I occasionally play songs from 80s and expect my kids to relate.
I just had a thought that this is same as someone telling me in the 80s to listen to songs from the 40s 🤯

Like other products, most folks would go with one hosted by them (I think on Azure). Once again, the security practices there is important.
Lastpass breach is egregious because password managers are a essential tool in end user security.
When a company that users put such trust is careless with their data (as well explained by many others reg lastpass), the big issue is a loss of trust in password managers and that is very unfortunate.
Hope this serves as a cautionary tale for 1Password and other companies to take a very close look at their entire stack and keep doing it

@paulg I wonder if it is due to the lesser number of folks here or the type of folks here (right now the barrier to entry to mastodon is a little high)
Get your family onboard with relocation. This includes your kids. It is very stressful and so having them being regretful is not going to help you settle down.
Talk to everyone and explain the reason you want to move. Be frank with the plus and minus. Listen to the concerns and figure out ways to mitigate them. Be sincere.

I am half tempted to host my own mastodon server with my domain as it harks back to the days when I used to have my own mail server. The freedom is refreshing but I am hesitant as it could be too much headache...
Black Friday is an interesting social and economic experiment. Don't love the useless consumerism but it is fascinating to see how much people get into it and the way retailers exploit it.
