  It is a whole week since the last day of #EMFCamp and I finally have my #spaceagon actually talking to wifi again (since 2024 lol), updated, keyboard enabled, and otherwise #hexpansion populated.   Annoyingly there isn't enough UV around #EMFCamp to show off the UV luminescent part of my nail varnish stack. But at least the glow in the dark layers do a thing. Unfortunately my hands and nails are in a bit of a rough state after several days of event build and cellar work! 😅

  Have been wishing I had time for #EMFCamp projects, I'm not short of ideas... just short of time, as ever. But it's fun to vicariously enjoy the projects, exasperations, and hints from others here... and I'll get to enjoy the fruits of these labours next week. So soon. Argh.

  Right, what DECT phones should we get for #EMFCamp... the Gigaset A170H seems to be the most obvious low-hanging-fruit option. I'd kinda like something more slimline, but I am unsure of the options and don't want to spend >£100 on a pair (I mean, lower the better and and, and I was considering some 2nd hand options from eBay but I just want cheap/quick/reliable do getting a new A170 Duo set seems the obvious call.) I am assuming getting the two handsets from a "duo" set...

  Busy WfH day, didn't do a load more than just work really... python yak flaying for an internal product release, and rust bug fixing to break up the monotony. We did pop down the allotment, to experience sun, downpour, and wind. Watered the usual bits. Felt joy at the beginning of the quince blossom. Sowed some mizuna and tatsoi seeds (for the slugs and pigeons?) Did some video, may actual publish a vlog, maybe, maybe not. Never time for it. Priorities! Also squeezed in a little pricki...

  Uploaded a 4.5GB video file to utoob before I left the house this morning. Four minutes. Done. This used to take well over an hour on the BT connection. (This is a horribly unfair comparison, it isn't shade on BT really, we had an OK connection for what was damp rotten old copper... but the FTTP is like a whole other world by comparison.)

  Claude is a barrel of laughs. It writes code. You ask it if the code it wrote is any good. It tells you its own code is smelly. The flag is the classic boolean flag argument smell Claude Code... sniffs its own farts.

  I am hoping this idea improves my seed sowing game a bit. It crossed my mind the other day as I had seeds spread out on the table to remind me what to sow. We used to use the same idea to organise beer keg badges and pump clips. It's just a cheap "shoe organiser" with clear pockets (important!) from Evilzon.   Unfortunately the more I use Python the less I like it. 😂 I am not convinced it is all that great a leap upwards from Perl. I miss C++ 🤪 I don't mean I hate Python or anything, it's fine... it's just another high level language, and in my head it's just going into the same bucket at PHP and Perl. I call it the "pee bucket". 🫠

  Man, that was a bit of a brain-hurt... I just tried picking up #FreeCAD for the first time in many months and just kinda stared at it not even sure where to start. 😂 The task: turn an SVG into a cookie-cutter. A couple of Mango Jelly videos started the old pathways reconnecting themselves... And now, a whole damn 3 hours later, I've sent it to the 3D printer on a wing and a prayer. (Just swapped the ABS for PETG and lobbed the file at the printer, no attempt to calibrate or anything lol....

  Hey, Fedi, throw me your favourite quickish, lowish carb, solidly "Italian" dinner recipes. I kinda feel pasta'd and risotto'd out at the moment.   So Italian Night dinner ended up being beans, as inspired by @julianlawson 's reply to my musings earlier. As it happened they have these Italian tinned beans in my favourite farm shop. This is what made my decision in the end. Said farm shop, has also recently started stocking wine including Italian reds — no Tesco needed! (The Bushel Box in Willingham, Cambridgeshire, FYI.)   That's the solenacea (tomato, chilli, capsicum, eggplant, tomatillo, and cape gooseberry) germination run pretty much complete now. Far too many seedlings. 😅 Some of the little pots have 2 or 3 in them, at a quick count there are 204 seedlings here. We can fit in maybe 30 tomatoes max, and similar for chillies, plus a dozen each of capsicums and eggplants. And that's really quite a bit optimistic. #gyo #chillies
