Man, that was a bit of a brain-hurt... I just tried picking up #FreeCAD for the first time in many months and just kinda stared at it not even sure where to start. 😂 The task: turn an SVG into a cookie-cutter. A couple of Mango Jelly videos started the old pathways reconnecting themselves... And now, a whole damn 3 hours later, I've sent it to the 3D printer on a wing and a prayer. (Just swapped the ABS for PETG and lobbed the file at the printer, no attempt to calibrate or anything lol... in theory it's an easy print.) TBF I did have to do some annoying crap to get around not being able to offset b-splines, had to go via sub-shape binders. Got there in the end though. It's actually the "cutting edge" which is a single-thickness wall that is the tricky part in my printer. I've done this before but don't remember any of the settings... which I think I wrote down somewhere... but hell knows where. The hippo flies.

I kinda missed the boat in stocking up on a spare set of nozzles for this old FlashForge printer... they don't sell them any more. So I guess when these nozzles bite the dust I'm going to be needing a new printer. I know at least one of them is problematic already (I have 3x... 2x 0.4s in two temp ranges, and a 0.6 in the higher temp range.) Though it looks like there are various 3rd party brands of the things out of China on Amazon (I should check AliExpress actually.)
