  Someone is sending a dozen tracked packages out of Los Angeles in a way that's being associated with my Informed Delivery so they all show as having postage generated in my town and then being dropped off at a local LAX post office. I have an inquiry out with USPS but haven't heard anything back yet. Want to get ahead of this in case those packages are something unsavory.

  Ever have a household task that was so much simpler and more rewarding than you expected and now you want to do a bunch more? Mine is window rescreening.   Philadelphia Fire Fighters and Paramedics Union posted a Facebook message addressed to MLB all-star game visitors to avoid the "colored areas" on the map of Philly if they wanted to stay alive. What they posted below it was a context-free map of non-fatal shootings and homicides with red and yellow dots. Most comments below were genuinely confused, but the folks who heard the dog whistle knew exactly what they were saying.
