Advice needed: Added an international eSIM to my phone last week and now my iPhone can't get it back in its head to let me input numbers as default US (NANP) format without the +1. No obvious settings in Phone, Contacts, or Region that appear to change this. Anyone know how to fix?

@vees@jawns.club What happens if you call 611? That should hit your carrier and revalidate your SIM in the US. Might also toggle some "if, then" defaults on the phone itself. For all that, airplane mode or looking up and manually setting the default APN for your carrier might do the same thing. Otherwise you might be looking at AT or QMI commands, which would be "find the greybeard at the genius bar who can use switchboard.app" (or whatever they use nowadays) territory. :(

@vees@jawns.club Q to you, how is the phone supposed to distinguish between an non-NANP entry and a NANP entry without prefix? I know my 10-digit phone number is, without the +1 NANP prefix, a valid international number in Netherlands.
