  Back from my first external meeting this week. The dodgy dropped kerbs plus gnarly* pavements meant it took me 2.5 times as long to go on my powerchair as someone walking average speed. I think my record for having to get up and push over the dangerous bits is six times in less than half a mile. * Google etc would have you believe this is USA surfer slang. Amazon helpfully adds books by two other authors onto my profile, one writes porn and the other about Christianity. And also deletes some of my actual books.   #ScribesAndMakers June 10. (Excluding time travel) Do you have a preference between books that progress linearly and books that jump back and forth in time (flashbacks etc)? I often find this difficult when listening to audiobooks and the date is a rushed bit of information in the chapter title. It wasn't an issue with hard copy as I could flick back if I missed it, but now I mainly use audio I avoid books that jump around in time.

  The fruit shop has sent me a photo of the garden the box of frozen fruit was left in. Not only not my garden, but not my street. This is the first time APC had a delvery for me. I hope no one else starts using them.

  The fruit firm made APC redeliver the box - and only just starting to thaw so it's fine. Half plus of the 3kg of gooseberries and half of the 2kg of damsons in the freezer. Two large bowls in the fridge. And the rest is going into keto pie crusts we have ready plus no added sugar jam. [edited to correct delivery company name]

  I wish I'd got their details. Relay door cold callers told me they could put in fibre to my home very cheaply, after telling me I must still be on broadband. No, I'm on fibre. All but two houses here are already have fibre even if they aren't using it. The two who aren't are the other neighbours who didn't get it when the original installers decided not to dig up to the three of us on the top path. (Some of you will remember the months long saga of getting it up to my home.)...
