I still have to do something about the extending shelf unit in the bathroom. (It reaches to the ceiling and has 4 small shelf units.) I've had it for years, and it happily stood near the shower here since I moved in. It fell down in the night, scattering shampoo, conditioner, cleaning stuff, etc. across the bathroom - into the toilet, basin, covering the floor. The noise was very loud, echoing off the tiles. Benji leapt off the bed followed by me. I tried to think which bottles and tubes probably weren't closed and picked them up. Then left the rest until I had more energy to cope. I still don't have enough energy to find out why it collapsed.

  • @tiggy@mastodonapp.uk My over-the-sink mirror in the bathroom came down a couple of days ago. It's on 3 suction cups which attach to a blue-tacked on steel tile (because it won't suction to the wall!), and it comes down periodically for no reason. I clean the tile & cups & try to put it back up in a slightly different place/orientation...

  • @tiggy@mastodonapp.uk Must have been that sort of night. Mine was less difficult to clear up because it was only the clothes rail collapsing, but it made a lot of noise. Clothes now hung up, as they say, on the floor.

@tiggy@mastodonapp.uk Oh, dear. I hate it when things fall down or break for no visible reason. Especially in the middle of the night. I hope you can figure out why it collapsed and get it set up more securely this time.
