Back from my first external meeting this week. The dodgy dropped kerbs plus gnarly* pavements meant it took me 2.5 times as long to go on my powerchair as someone walking average speed. I think my record for having to get up and push over the dangerous bits is six times in less than half a mile. * Google etc would have you believe this is USA surfer slang. It is much older and English not USA. Think gnarled ... #DisabilityEnergyCost
