  When I was in high school, PBS broadcast Sherman’s March, the Ross McIlwee documentary. It blew my mind. Somehow, mysteriously, the local PBS affiliate had an equipment room in our high school (???), and the next day I found someone to run me off a VHS dub of the movie.   This drink, from _beta cocktails_ by Kirk Estopinal and Maksym Pazuniak, is every bit as delicious and easy drinking as you’d expect it to be. Even if you don’t have raspberries (which I do not). Easy Does It 1 oz Plymouth Gin 1/2 oz Aperol 1/4 oz Campari 1 oz grapefruit juice 1/2 oz simple syrup (1:1) 3 raspberries Shakes and strain over a rock. Garnish with 3 raspberries on a skewer.   My spouse is *very* happy that Alex Ovechkin will be back for one more year. I have mixed feelings — the whole chase for the Gretzky record was a huge distraction, and now this year is gonna make Fleury’s farewell tour look like an office birthday party. OTOH, I think the trades and UFA signings are gonna make the 26-27 Caps an interesting (and fun) team to watch. So: we’ll see. I still wouldn’t bet on them to make it past the 2nd round of the playoffs, tho. #NHL #Hockey
