  average 80 fps in cyperpunk 2077 is more than i expected from this laptop. that’s with most settings on low or medium and dynamic resolution scaling enabled so not at 2880x1800, but that is definitely impressive for integrated graphics with a 35W power limit

  turns out not only can i get 5 milliseconds local audio latency out of the old eeepc 900… it can do bluetooth audio with 512 samples (~10.6ms) and it doesn’t need aptX to do that. SBC-XQ has quality comparable to aptX HD but needs considerably less processing power (the eeepc is so slow that stereo aptX HD takes 15% CPU) (technically opus is also an option that can surpass either of these codecs but it does not work well at all over bluetooth the way pipewire does it)

  turns out the mixed stockpiles from which pre-ground coffee is produced are often infested with cockroaches to the point that people allergic to them also tend to be allergic to most brands of pre-ground coffee. of course there are regulations because some contamination is unavoidable but e.g. the FDA’s food defect levels allow for an average of 10% of green coffee beans by count to be infested or damaged by insects and mold
