waow 12AM sharp (scheduled backbone maintenance at hetzner DC but should not have affected me): server drops off the net several attempts at booting rescue: failing (timeout?) emailing hetzner: not really getting a reply but rescue suddenly works again trying to boot system: lvm is fucked, lvchange --repair just prints “Manual repair required.” and exits (dropping the cache made it happy) trying again: selinux autolabel gets stuck in early boot (fuck selinux with a rusty rake, i just cannot understand how that utter garbage ever made it anywhere near torvalds’ tree without a second 9/11) again: ethernet interface mysteriously changed its name, bridge config no longer valid and again: it was dns this time but now we’re back. fucking hell
