  Something I want to point out, perhaps primarily to myself. It can be difficult to walk the line between "here is something that you might take interest in" and "endorsement". I *like* to think I'm quite sensitive to tone and approach to communication. But I don't get it right all the time. I have tremendous respect for the point-free folks, and I just wanted to more publicly apologize for not being more careful today.

  Recently, I was asked an interesting question. If the purpose of an actor is to protect mutable state, is a stateless actor pointless? It is definitely something to look at closely, but there are some uses that can make sense. https://www.massicotte.org/stateless-actors/

  UIKit cannot realistically be retired. Seems like AI is making it more popular, not less. I would not be stunned if this June was the last release cycle where we see major investments in SwiftUI from Apple.

  Much needed clarification. Posting idle thoughts is dangerous. SwiftUI isn’t going anywhere! It’s very popular and for good reason. But I think Apple execs could be receptive to the argument that it’s getting pretty mature now and AI means it is less important than ever to push so hard.

  After a thoughtful nudge, I have renamed my "Lock" package to use the term "Gate". And while I was in there, I updated a bunch of things, including finally getting a recursive gate working!   I love getting together with other developers, and if you can do it in any capacity, you should! I have so many amazing memories from past WWDCs. But we cannot ignore that some of those developers are targets of the US government. Apple supports this. X exists only to support this.
