I love getting together with other developers, and if you can do it in any capacity, you should! I have so many amazing memories from past WWDCs.
But we cannot ignore that some of those developers are targets of the US government. Apple supports this. X exists only to support this.

@mattiem@mastodon.social the shorter in-person format already makes it a worse deal than it used to be. Putting my wellbeing at risk because I have some melanin on my skin is a total dealbreaker.

@mattiem@mastodon.social I could probably justify going for work reasons but there’s no way I’m crossing that border, even if I overlooked the taste of rotting apple in my mouth
